Artist: T Parris
Interviewer: Shelton "SHA" Willams
I would like to thank T.PARRIS for taking the timeout to answer a few questions and give us the rundown on what is going and the state of the music industry.
MMNyc718: Where are you from?
TParris: I Was Born In Brooklyn , NY, but then shortly moved to Harlem Where I Was
Raised & Currently Reside...Sugar hill To Be Exact
MMNyc718: What or who are some of your biggest influences when it comes to music?
TParris: Of Course Hip Hop! The greats Rakim, Kane, Nas, Big Daddy Kane, & EPMD But also R&B legends like Marvin Gaye, Donny Hathaway, Stevie Wonder, Prince, Michael Jackson (R.I.P) I Would Say My Biggest Influence Beside Music Was My Gma.. She Was An Entrepreneur, so that free spirit was instilled in me early, so I Live My
Life Fulfilling My Dreams!
MMNyc718: How long have you been an Emcee?
TParris: I have been an emcee since I was a young child. I recall doing talent shows being Run Of Run DMC....Reciting my own rhymes at times.. I’ve always been lyrical & witty
MMNyc718: What artist/Producers have you worked with in the past? And
who would you like to work with in the future?
TParris: Well most of my early work was with a group called M.E.N. So I've Worked
with some big names such as Lord Tariq, Drag-On, Herb McGruff and also been on tour' with Method Man, Buckwild, Vega Benetton, Ext, & Z Black. Now with a New Year approaching I would love to work with Premier....You know the old saying “You Have To Know Your Past To Know Where Your Head ed ”. He Is the Best Producer of my generation I think a T.P. Premo collaboration would bring a lot of opportunities for The Pharrells, Kanyes, & Timberands ya know.
MMNyc718: How or where can people find material on T Parris?
TParris: Email Me..yungmarvingaye@gmail.com

MMNyc718: Where do you see the game right now? And how do you plan
to be more instrumental to the game?
TParris: Right now I think the game is at a standstill. Record sales are down,
creativity is down! A lot of artists are trying to reinvent themselves, this can be positive as long as the music sustains that authenticity. As far as myself and what I plan on doing? I will stay true to the art. I struggle throughout life to assure people
that this is not easy This is God given talent that has yet to be discovered , However every time I work be it on stage, the booth or just networking, my aim is to inspire...inspire those who suffer from poverty....I'm from poverty, of poverty, tryna get out of poverty and this music is my tool Da YungMarvinGaye Of Dis Rap Shit........
