“DLabrie is one of the hardest working Artist in the Bay, I respect his hustle, and I respect his Art, and I can’t say that about a lot of people” Quote: Adisa “The Bishop” Banjoko

DLabrie is a MC from East Oakland, CA. Growing up in “The Town”, DLabrie was influenced by political legends such as Malcolm X & The Black Panthers, his mother (a former panther) & her love for music, the rough, fast paced streets of the (S.F.) Bay Area, and of course Hip Hop/ Rap music, which was educating him on all of the above and more. “In 1985 my mother took me to EastMont Mall to see Krush Groove more than 20 times and my first raps sounded like Public Enemy, and Too Short” states the emcee, who decided at 13 he would pursue a career as a rapper. After years of failed groups, rookie missteps, skill sharpening, and attempts at getting a miraculous deal, DLabrie decided to do things the Bay Way!!

Since “02” this sharp lyricist with an all around flow has sold (10’s of) thousands of underground copies of The Little Malcolm EP as well as his Mixtape series East Oakland’s Greatest from California, Las Vegas, Chicago, New York, & Florida in America to Japan, S.Korea, & Mexico World Wide!! In 2003 Labrie Established RonDavoux Records, which is named after his son Davoux. In addition to his work as a solo emcee, Labrie co-founded the goup , A.L.L.I.A.N.C. wit no E [(Aggressive Leaders Living In A Neglected Community with no Escape) which includes KDoe , Lil J aka Jason Voorheez, Young KA$H, Jadalicious, and Shadya] ! and is also extended family to Wasaname ‘An ‘Em!!

While building his buzz Labrie has had the opportunity to perform on the same bill with well established artists such as Too Short, The Roots, The Alcoholiks, Keak Da Sneak, Cellski, Planet Asia, Blackalicious, , Living Legends, The Luniz, , Aceyalone, Hieroglyphics, Zioni,Spice-1, Turf Talk, Immortal Technique, Dem HoodStarz, Nump, , Percee P.and more!! In 2004 DLabrie was hand picked from a group cipher by KRS-1 himself, as an opening act for his West Coast mini tour!!

Aside from shows , Labrie aka DLabrozia is known around the Bay Area for his work in the community, as an organizer for Hip Hop Congress & R.E.F.U.G.E. (Real Education For Urban Growth Enterprises)! These organizations focus on using Urban Arts as a vehicle for creative expression, social change and education. “DLabrie in my humble opinion is a prototype for an artist who balances making quality music with authentic community activism, His talent, dedication & straight hustle can not be stopped, plus he’s a fun ass Hyphy, Oakland mutha*&^%$# too!!” states Shamako Noble, President of Hip Hop Congress & long time friend & manager!!

Also in 2006, DLabrozia will hold down the INDEPENDENT NETWERKIN’ TOUR and will release his highly anticipated DEBUT album
MR. NETW3RK which features MR. Fab, Kaz (The TEAM), San Quinn,18, Adisa Banjoko, The Jacka, Aplus (Hiero), plus production by InfiNate Productions, Sean T. and MORE!! Also to be released in “06”, more volumes of the East Oakland’s Greatest Mixtape Series, Various ALLIANC projects and a gang of cameo appearances from CD, to TV, to DVD!!
