While many emcees spit about commercial and materialistic items very few can rhyme about sociopolitical and urban stories of pain and triumph, and with a style that can be related to the early and mid 1990’s style of Hip Hop, Mike J Gottie has the perfect tools to appeal to all markets of Urban music. Born on September 7th 1986, Mike J Gottie was brought into Hip Hop by his older brothers (Al, Greg, Steve, and John). They taught him about Hip Hop Legends like Nas, AZ, A Tribe Call Quest, KRS-1, Tupac and Big Punisher. These legends influenced Mike J Gottie to begin freestyling at the early age of 7yrs old and by the age of 13 he began writing rhymes. Further in his teenage years Mike J Gottie and long time friend Keif Da Kid formed K.O.S (Kings of the Street) a small crew New York City, then in 2005 with K.O.S members Keif Da Kid and Karlovy Sanchez they formed P.C (PaperChasaz). P.C was a group of emcees and in 2005 they record their first mixtape. Through the years Mike J Gottie, faced numerous diversities and short comings both in his personal and music business life. After several years and numerous unreleased tracks record, Mike J Gottie has regrouped and signed in 2006 with independent production company Hidden Hand Enterprise. Now with a stronger team behind him, Mike J Gottie is ready to take on Hip Hop and bring it back to its essences and prove to the world “That’s There More to Life Then Cars, Hoes, and Money”
